What is the CIT program?

Our CIT (Counselor in Training) program is designed for 12, 13, and 14-year-olds who are interested in helping our camp and gaining leadership experience. Their job is to assist our counselors in day to day activities as well as plan and run Fun Friday games with the assistance of a counselor. They will be asked to lead camp openings, give lunchtime rules, pool rules, and assist with all lesson plans, field trips, and special events. They have a bi-weekly meeting with our student supervisors to talk about their performance and give feedback.

We are looking for individuals who are: creative and energetic, mature and responsible, able to work well as a team, between the ages of 12-14, attend at least 5 out of the 8 weeks of camp, as well as attend at least 3 out of the 5 days of each week present. Counselors in Training must have previously attended Super Kids Camp as a camper for at least one year. See CIT Application.

What is the camp curriculum like?

On Mondays, our campers have the opportunity to climb on the Campus Recreation rock wall. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, our campers have the opportunity to swim in the campus pool. On Wednesdays, we take field trips to various places in Sonoma County.  On Fun Fridays, our director staff provide fun, theme-based camp activities. Each day, campers also participate in art, sports, science, and drama activities in addition to the designated activity for the day.

What should my camper bring each day?

Each day, your camper will need to bring a water bottle, a lunch, and wear closed-toed shoes. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, our campers have the opportunity to swim in the campus pool. On these days, please send your camper with their swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, and a life jacket if needed.  If you send your camper with a life jacket, we require that they wear it in the pool.

What if my child can't swim?

If your child can't swim, we do provide games outside of the pool for them to use. All campers will need to pass a swim test provided by the lifeguard in order to be permitted to swim in the deep end of the pool. All of our counselors are evenly distributed in the pool, and lifeguards are always on duty.

What is the refund procedure?

Refunds will be accepted by completing the Super Kids Camps Google refund form.
